Came here for Grandma's Master Plan and Ghost Ship
Disclaimer: We were a group of 4 with experience level ranging from 5 rooms - 61 rooms.
Customer Service: Trevan was super awesome, friendly, and a fantastic Game Master (GM). He handled tech malfunctions flawlessly and was very funny as well.
Ghost Ship: Theming and decor was immersive, we felt like we were in a ship for the most part. The puzzles were fun, some of which we had not encountered before. We enjoyed the start of the room a lot. As the room went on though we ran into some tech issues which set us back some time. Our GM was helpful though in confirming our correct answers and moving us along in the room. The puzzles in this room do not have as much direction to them as other escape room companies do, but that's a common theme with 60out.
Grandma's Master Plan (GMP): We had very high hopes for this room after reading Escape Authorities 6 key review on it. Let just say, it did not deliver. For less than the price of this room I could have gone down a few blocks and done a much better escape room. There are some positives to GMP like the use of props, and a big room space, but for a room marketed as "hard" it didn't stump us as much as we had hoped, and lacked in never-before-seen puzzles. There is so much potential for the room, it's a big space but most of it doesn't get utilized. The puzzles were gimmicky and some locks took a fair amount of "jiggling the keys" to open. We escape the room with 15 minutes remaining and once again, expected more puzzles. We thought this room would be one of the best, because that how the majority rates it, but currently it falls low on my recommendation list.
Overall, I would give Ghost Ship 4/5 and GMP 3/5. I would skip GMP unless you've got a spare 75 minutes and none of their other rooms are open. Ghost Ship was a fun experience though and I would recommend it to group of any age and experience level.
